Awesome

This is a great theme, and if you happen to read this, it IS legal to put in up to 10 seconds of copyrighted material called "sampling" so long as you credit it a believe.

Great work, 5/5 9/10

Burn7 responds:

Hm. I wasn't aware of that. I think I'm gonna go look it up to make sure. Thanks a fuckton for the tip! And here's the full remastered version anyway! http://www.mediafire.com/?2zrnkpphz3b r3ik

Don't worry

I had my speakers at half volume and felt no problem with loudness what so ever.

Shawn just uses top of the line head phones and speakers that blast way louder than the average set. Although if he's having eq issues that's his department not mine.

I loved the mixture of all the instruments, it's really tough to get an orchestral dance beat going and make it work. Awesome job. I especially loved the harpsichord sound in the back ground and the tempo changes were awesome.

Keep it up!

Sorry I haven't been on in two years either. Expect a little more as I got my music Groove back. Same shit quality though.

Hey, no worries =) just glad you didn't forget about me hah. Shawn is shawn i enjoy his critical critisism from time to time. None the less we had fun writing this. I'm glad that people enjoy it.

Awesome

I'm a sucker for sad songs and piano/orchestral, you got both, This is one of my favorite combinations of the two A little long is my only issue.

Sycross responds:

Thanks. I'm glad you liked it! You can find more songs at my website www.sycrossmusic.com

Nice work!

It takes a lot of skilll to be able to make a track almost purely based on drums with an underlying tone of actual instruments, which is perfect for many Sound tracks on TV. It's good to hear the low Piano over the drums as it does give a great feel of suspense. Each part is layered nicely, soprano plucks are quite a nice effect to it all. Good work!

Hop on facebook in a few and we can have a talk.

Hey Brad! Thanks for the kind words, I'm glad you enjoyed the music! I wont be around much on Facebook in the near future because I'm really busy with school work but if I see you on I'll be sure to drop you a message!

Wow.

So I've never heard this song before, nor do I care, I don't do too many covers of songs myself, so I prefer not to be biased when I rate a song. I think the big thing that I ove about your songs (I've been scrolling trhough alot of them) Is how similiar in style we play piano wise, those power chords are the exact way I start out all my songs, and then I build the broken chords from there, you also seem to like the same styles oand genres of music as me. it all just comes to gether to complete this song to a taste that suits me, even though others may not lik e it, this song is alot of what I look for when I listen, because it reminds me of the originals I write. Thanks Realm

Shawn's Right, you really are on of the best live composers out there.

Thank you for the review firstly. It is always nice to hear from a fellow pianist. I would like to hear some of your playing. I'll check your profile for songs, if you don't have any, please post! :) Look forward to listening to our similar playing style. And finally thank you for the awesome compliment!
Look forward to more communication.

Yes It's dance

But that still doesn't mean it has to be so damn repititive. The intro just goes for like 30 seconds straight with nothing but the same melody and an instrument change after each measure repeat. then when thats done, you kill the melody and replace it with the supporting melody. A nice little effect I must admit, but after hearing that for the past 30 sconds it almost feels as the song is missing that core piece. It seems that when even YOU feel it's too repetitive, you add some little voice thing to it, energy, are you ready, bass etc etc. It's a great song, but I don't believe it's worthy of a best of the week. It's like, a simple melody with effects that seem to try and make the song. it's still better than 90% of the other music on NG so I'll give you an 8 and a 5. But unlike all the other Reviewers who are like, my ears like it so I do, Me wityh the ADD can only listen to a measure repete about 3 times before it becomes tiring.

Good job nonetheless.

Review one of mine if you get the chance, and feel free to Y'know, 0 bomb my poor ass soul, but if you do, review me as to why.

Ethalyn responds:

dude those voices were to try something new =P and for the love of god do you listen to the music or stare into the wall thinking about the grass growing while doing so ? its not that repetitive, there is the 1st part which is its one noteset, with different effects drums and everything than what it is in the main melody, then comes the 2nd part which is the main melody part, which first is it alone, then with a kick for 10 seconds (WOW THAT LONG!:O) and then with bass and synth bass background, then comes an entire new part (again) with a new melody, new bass, new drums, new fillers, new layers and everything you could ask for, then (WOW AGAIN :O) i put in the main melody for a last part with crowd effects!

how many things do you want me to stuff into 03:34 minutes o_0!!!!
btw im not mad, i just dont see where it is repetitive xD and ofc ill give urs a check (lol i wont 0-bomb) and ill toss in a review or two ;-) thx for checking me out man!

Hmm...

I loved the song. It was really well thought out, and had a strong melody with alot of support making it that much better, the only thing that got me was an almost 16th beat off beatness on the reset of the drums after the flute solo. Great work again "Chuck". Later :P.

MaestroRage responds:

Well well well. If it isn't one Brad. Gracing the page of PUUUUUURE darkness that is mah pagezor :D! The drums were fun to play around with, I believe i know what you're talking about, but i'm too damn lazy to do anything about it at this point.

Laziness... one day my heart will go "... SCREW THIS!" and just stop beating. Lazy bastard.

Terminal laziness. I have it.

Thank you for the review, i'm glad you liked it!

A tad on the weird tones too much.

I find the tones Too fabbish, to be considered a Sad trance loop. Not a bad melody, getting close to the short side, even for a loop, usually I'd expect something this simple to go abit longer.

Omg that is a perfect loop, I didn't even notice it changed the first time around. 8/10
Good job overall.

Gahg responds:

lol thanks ^_^

I agree.

The sound effects do seem to clash with the music during the begginning segment, You should Probably Cut the first silent part of your song off, I like the progression of the instruments, The slow and sure movement from the strings to the beat, and then the sound fx slow down adn it becomes a much better overall piece. I like it, I just don't care for the beggining as much, and You should definately chop your first two seconds of silence to make for that little extra into a good track.

Loki responds:

The actual point of the first few seconds of silence is to recreate little silence that occurs in between two Counter-Strike rounds right before players buy their weapons and equipment :)

It's simple but nice.

I like it, It still feels as though it's lacking somethign though. Definatly a great menu theme IMHO even for a puzzle game. The one thing that gets me is maybe the "bass drum" I don't know, it almost sounds like it has a tone to it. (it cuts of at 1:00 and comes back at 1:10) It seems to off beat and short to fit correctly in with the song. It's still a great simple melody. Good work.

Give a shout out to my newest song, at www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/14136 3 I seriously think it's my best yet and could use a review like yours on it's side. :P

Nav responds:

Hm. I'm not sure what you mean by the comment about the bass drum! Thanks for the review, though. I'll check yours out and review tomorrow, because I just worked out and my arm's sore.

Thanks for reviewing! :D
